MKA arrange our design and technical staff for each project to best serve the needs of the client and project to ensure a successful outcome. Our personnel consist of Project Architects, Part I & II Architects, Architectural Technicians and Building Surveyors as well as Admin staff. MKA have also developed a group of external professionals who provide a service for various particular areas of each project such as planning consultants and environmental consultants etc.

Mike Kilgour BArch DipArch RIBA FCIOB

Mike started MKA Architects in 1985 after working for two local practices.  Mike has extensive knowledge of the Kent area and has particular skills in Planning and Commercial development projects. His abilities are also employed outside of the Practice where he is a School Governor, a member of The Tonbridge Civic Society and a participant on various RIBA Committees.

Joe Martin BA(Hons), B.Arch, RIBA

Joe has worked for MKA for 2 years and prior to that been a Project Director in a London practice. Joe has a broad range of experience from residential to education and from individual projects to large scale estate/urban regeneration and masterplanning work.. Before qualifying as an Architect Joe worked for an international London based interior design firm designing interiors for prestigious hotels and residences around the world.

Jonathan Butler BArch(Hons), DipArch, PgDip RIBA

Jonathan joined MKA in 2005, having previously worked in practice in Sussex. His breadth of experience covers a large range of sectors; from significant commercial projects through to intimate and detailed domestic work. Jonathan was elected a member of the RIBA in March 2008 and is considered a valuable member of the MKA team. Prior to embarking on his architectural career he was involved in the construction and landscaping side of the industry. Jonathan has good communication skills as well as detailed knowledge of 3D software packages.
